Baseball Building Communities
Come check out our Baseball Exhibit featuring San Diego homeboy Adolfo Arguijo.
Our Ranching Heritage is reflected in the La Brasada Room, where you can learn about centurys' old ranchos, their registered brands, land grants and more.
In La Brasada room, you can discover registered brands used by ranchers on cattle, sheep and horses dating back to the 1880's. The history of those ranches is also displayed.

Genealogy Collection of Northern Mexico / South Texas Church Records
If you're looking for information about your forefathers that may have come from Mier, Camargo, Cerralvo, Monterrey and Aguasleguas, Mexico, the museum has an extensive collection of Church Records containing information on births, baptisms, marriages and deaths of the residents of these communities dating back to the 1700s. Our Genealogy Room also has other resources such as family histories, a collection of El Mesteno magazines, and journals from SAGA (Spanish American Genealogy Association). A computer station makes it easy for patrons to use online resources for further research.

Did you ever hear of San Diego's very own bottling company and drink? The story goes that the soft drink, Brunela, was very similar to Dr. Pepper and may have been the origin of the Dr. Pepper drink. Read more about it here. |
